HAPPY LIFE

Today, you are traveling to Yellowstone National Park with Yuga.

It is a UNESCO World Heritage site that spans across the states of Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming in the United States.

It is the oldest national park in the world.

As you would expect from its location in vast America, the park is about four times the size of Tokyo, with an area of 8,900 square kilometers!

It was registered as a World Heritage site in 1978 and was one of the first twelve sites to receive this designation.

Being located in a volcanic area, it is astonishing that 50% of the world's geothermal features, including two-thirds of all geysers, are found here.

The name "Yellowstone" comes from the yellow-colored canyon walls carved by the erosion of the Yellowstone River, which flows through the park.

Additionally, the park attracts attention for its unique approach to nature conservation called "wilderness."

The concept behind "wilderness" is to allow nature to take its course, leaving natural processes undisturbed.

For instance, when a wildfire occurred in 1988, it was allowed to burn naturally, taking several months to be extinguished.

Subsequently, insects inhabited the burnt trees, birds gathered, and a new natural cycle emerged, with new shoots sprouting from the ground.

Truly, the power of nature is remarkable!
