16.スコータイと周辺の歴史地区／タイ
今日、ゆーがと旅するところは、タイのスコータイ歴史公園です～ （1991年世界遺産登録）
タイ北部スコータイ県スコータイ市から西へ12㎞行った歴史公園で、かつてのスコータイ王朝の遺跡があります。
スコータイ王朝はタイ族による最初の王朝で、13世紀から15世紀まで続き、タイ仏教の黄金期を築きました。
スコータイとは、「幸福の夜明け」という意味で、クメール様式とスリランカ様式を融合させたスコータイ様式というタイ独特の建築様式を編み出しました。
ワットシーチャムにある「動かぬ仏」という意味のアチャナ仏は高さ15mもあり、正面から見上げると、
仏様の目と合って、見つめられているような感じがします！

"Today, the place you are going to travel with Yuga is the Sukhothai Historical Park in Thailand, which was registered as a World Heritage Site in 1991.
Located 12 kilometers west of Sukhothai City in Sukhothai Province, northern Thailand, this historical park contains the ruins of the ancient Sukhothai Kingdom.
The Sukhothai Dynasty was the first dynasty established by the Thai people and it flourished from the 13th to the 15th century, marking the golden age of Thai Buddhism.
The name Sukhothai means 'Dawn of Happiness' and it gave rise to the unique Sukhothai architectural style, which combined elements of Khmer and Sri Lankan styles.
One of the highlights is the Phra Achana Buddha, also known as the 'Immovable Buddha,' located at Wat Si Chum.
It stands at a height of 15 meters, and when you look up at it from the front, it feels as if the Buddha's eyes are meeting yours.
