Today, the place you are traveling with Yuga is the Great Wall of China!

It is the world's longest structure that served as a defense against invasions from northern ethnic groups. It is astonishing to think that it was completed by connecting various walls built by different countries when the first emperor of China, Qin Shi Huang, achieved the unification of China in 220 BC. It was registered as a World Heritage site in 1987, and it's no wonder why. However, it is worth noting that most of the existing Great Wall was solidly built during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644).

The total length of the Ming Dynasty Great Wall is 8,851 kilometers, and if you include sections that have multiple layers or were built in different periods, the total length is said to be 20,196 kilometers. Just for reference, if you were to walk 20 kilometers per day, it would take you 400 days to cover 8,000 kilometers. And if you walked at a pace of 4 kilometers per hour, walking 5 hours a day, it would take a whole day!

When visiting for tourism, the Badaling section of the wall, which stretches for 3,700 meters, tends to be crowded, so I recommend the Mutianyu section. It is slightly shorter at 2,250 meters, but you can enjoy a 1,580-meter-long slide!
